Since 14 years, the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT] is a transdisciplinary centre dedicated to research, creation, production, presentation, education and conservation in the field of digital culture. Last February, the SAT began not only renovation works but also internal infrastructure expansion with the addition of a new floor. This new floor, the Sensorium, will offer to Montrealers new spaces dedicated to artistic creation and presentations. Among these will be a 18 meters wide and 15 meters high permanent dome, entirely dedicated to the presentation of immersive audiovisual pieces.
Also on this third floor, a new culinary laboratory, a gastronomic and creative atelier that combines research in applied design with fine cuisine. Devoted to production, exploration, exchange, and culinary advancement, this prospective space will question the relationship between the creator (chef, researcher, designer) and their ingredients. La Noce will also encourage exchanges between rural and urban networks by promoting regional cuisine.
This fall, the SAT invites you to discover this new complex entirely devoted to the artistic exploration and sensory experience !
