The Rencontre interuniversitaire de performance actuelle (RIPA) is an initiative of three UQÀM students – Catherine D’avril, Marilyne Fournier and Francis O’Shaughnessy. This annual event will offer students in selected arts in Quebec and Ontario a unique opportunity to demonstrate the singularity of their performance work.

The RIPA is an inter-university event whose goal is to develop artistic networks in Quebec by promoting encounters and exchanges amongst the actors and institutions working in contemporary art.

The first edition will be held on Saturday April 28 at the Centre culturel Georges-Vanier (2450 Workman St., Montreal) at 7:00 p.m.

The organising committee is also looking for volunteers to help the performers and to hang posters for the event.
