Fifteen directors, selected based on the quality of their applications, will have the chance to meet ten producers during a full-day event dedicated to documentary pitches.
This event’s main objective is to support up-and-coming filmmakers in their project-development efforts and to encourage the creation of new business partnerships. The activity is also aimed at stimulating the documentary industry by fostering intergenerational dialogue, encouraging discussion of issues facing the industry, and strengthening professional networks. After the One-on-One for up-and-comers, filmmakers will be better equipped to make the most of their participation in the three days of professional activities at Doc Circuit Montreal in November.
Founded in 1998, the Montreal International Documentary Festival (Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal – RIDM) presents a selection of the year’s best documentaries from Canada and around the world for general and professional audiences.
