To mark the DocuMenteur festival in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, we invite you to discover, for this issue on WHEN THE IMAGINARY CONTAMINATES REALITY, videos by four filmmakers who have flirted with docu-fiction: Pascal Robitaille ’s Dogme 41: Lonely Child (screened at the 2006 DocuMenteur festival), Jean-Pierre St-Louis Carapace: Autoportrait d’un chanteur inconnu (a Coop Video production from 1984), Stéphane Thibault ’s Le Beau Jacques (Best Short Film award at the Festival du film documentaire de Marseille in 1999) and Ricardo Trogi ’s C’est arrivé près de chez nous (screened at the 1997 Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois).
