After studying Video and Philosophy and receiving a Master's degree in Communication from Concordia University, Chris Martin taught in this field at the university level. She also gave workshops, conferences and worked for video production and distribution houses. She directed videos like : A Cliché can be a True Story (1985), Love Roller Coaster (1986), Twins (1987), Le Voleur (1989) and Pleasure Police (1990).
