Bruno Boulianne

Bruno Boulianne holds a degree in communication and attracted attention for his contribution to Course Europe-Asie in 1990-91. His first documentary was entitled Un cirque sur le fleuve, which won numerous awards, including best new talent at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois in 1994. While resident filmmaker at the National Film Board from 1998 to 2001 he made Aviature, a portrait of bush pilots in northern Quebec, and Des hommes de passage, which shows the inmates of Bordeaux prison and their talent for creating radio broadcasts. Boulianne then shot Le Compteur d’oiseaux, which won the Grand Prix and the audience award at the Portneuf environmental film festival in 2005.
