Bruno Carrière
Director, producer and scriptwriter, Bruno Carrière was born in Cornwall (Ontario) in 1953. His work includes more than 160 titles, in a large diversity of formats: short, medium and feature-length films, many dramatic episodes for television, documentaries, animation and advertisements. At the beginning of his career in 1971 his work was characterized by his pre-occupation with social issues, as with Le Scrapeur (1976), Les Récupérateurs (1977) and Vous “santé” vous bien? (1978). He completed his first feature-length film, Lucien Brouillard, in 1983. He then worked mainly for television, producing the series Super sans plomb (1989-1991) while remaining faithful to his love for documentaries by producing L'Art est un jeu (1990) and L'Art n'est point sans Soucy (1994). He also produced L'Amour tangué (1995), Passions orchestrées (1996), La Grippe (1997), Qui êtes-vous Monsieur P.? (1998) and several episodes for the series Diva (1997-1999).
