Born in Rimouski, Samuel Pinel- Roy is a young filmmaker Bachelor from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi , where he has completed a Master of Arts. He won twice the Grand Prix Télé-Québec at the Festival du Documenteur en Abitibi-Témiscamingue in 2012 and 2015. He currently works as a cinematographer and director on various projects in Montréal and Chicoutimi.
