Annabelle Fouquet
Annabelle Fouquet was born in France in 1987 and lives in Quebec since 2010. Following training in photography in Paris (École de l’image Les Gobelins, 2008) and video in Rivière-du-Loup (L’École des Métiers du Cinéma et de la Vidéo, 2010) she studied anthropology at Université Laval in Quebec City, receiving her Bachelor degree in 2017. In 2020 she finished her Master studies in anthropology and visual arts, also at Université Laval. During her studies, she developed a personal language between visual anthropology and relational arts. Her works are beyond borders: spatio-temporal borders, identity borders, borders between the imaginary and the perception of reality. Her work was exhibited at Institut National de la Géographie (Paris), the festival Présence Autochtone (Montreal), Rencontres Photographique du Kamouraska (Kamouraska), Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent (Rivière-du-Loup) and several cinematographic festivals in Quebec (Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma; Festival de Cinéma de la Ville de Québec; Festival International du Film Ethnographique du Québec ...).
