Naween Noppakun
Naween Noppakun is an audiovisual artisan with a background in music and sound design. He was well recognized as a founding member of Sweet Mullet - one of the most influential Thai rock bands in 2000s - with sensational hit single “Tob ( 2004 )” in which he co-wrote. After switching his artistic approach to filmmaking, his first two short films When Her Light is Extinguished (2012) and We Love Me (2017) have won international awards in different continents and screened at film and video art festivals around the world. Supported by The Ministry of Culture, his third short Crazy Lotus (2023) was selected for development in the Short Form Station at Berlinale Talents 2020 and nominated for the Ammodo Tiger Short Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024.
