A word from the team
Entrée en scène was one of the first videos I watched at Vidéographe when I began working here. As someone who carries a certain nostalgia, I was captivated by this glimpse into the original Vidéographe space of the 1970s. Watching Robert Forget lead his quiet tour through its rooms, I felt the excitement and determination that fuelled the centre’s creation. It was as though I were stepping into a living archive—a place dense with history and generosity. Fresh out of university and still on the cusp of discovering video and experimental cinema in Québec, I found in Entrée en scène both a guide and a spark. For me, it remains one of the most precious works on Vithèque—a record not merely of a space, but of a vision that continues to resonate.
