The Woman in the Room

The Woman in the Room is an interactive video installation developed from a motion capture system. The work depicts a female character who reacts to the presence of the viewer depending on his position in the space. The visitor is invited to share an intimate moment with that character while being however compelled to a sense of ambiguity and uncertainty.

No real communication seems, in the end, possible between these two realities separated by the wall that is the projection screen. The artist deals with spatial and emotional distances that may separate two individuals, distances often exacerbated by media tools.
