Adrian Wills
All Together Now, the making of Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles show LOVE, earned Wills a Grammy Award for Best Music Film, a Gémeaux for Best Documentary and was in the Top Ten at Hot Docs. In addition to having directed numerous Cirque du Soleil feature/TV documentaries, Wills co-wrote and directed In the Hands of Michel Tremblay awarded a Gémeaux for Best Director. His narrative work includes the CFC short The Hunt, and two television films for Lifetime USA : Crisis Point (Rhona Mitra and Elias Toufexis) and The Surrogacy Trap (Mia Kirshner, David Julian Hirsh and Rachel Blanchard. Recently, he completed episodes of Qui Êtes Vous? (Quebec’s version of Who Do You Think You Are?), Superstitious Minds for CBC’s Doc Zone, multiple episodes of Extraordinary Canadians for CBC, episodes of the docu-fiction series National Park Mysteries and The Will, and Toruk Takes Flight a documentary following the Cirque du Soleil Avatar themed show TORUK for Bell. Wills recently directed the multi-camera television representation of TORUK as well as LUZIA for Cirque du Soleil for global markets, and will showcase on CBC in summer 2017 a dramatic series he co-created for them - 21 THUNDER.
