Fascinated by filmmaking as well as by the social applications of art, Alexandra Guité has directed and produced several films, both documentaries and fiction films. Highly curious and multitalented, she has also worked in the organization of independent art festivals, academic sociological research, freelance journalism for Radio-Canada, video documentary and social solidarity in many countries, including Portugal Turkey, Brazil and India. Between 2002 and 2005, she lived in turbulent Argentina, where she scripted, filmed and directed films on several crucial social issues, freelanced for national Argentine television and made radio documentaries.
