Amadou Pathé Sow was born in Pikine (Senegal) in 1976. He studied philosophy and law at the University of Dakar from 1998 to 2001 and went on to teach at preschool and elementary levels in French schools Les Flamboyants in Sévaré-Mopti (Mali) and René-Guillet in Thiès (Senegal). He was a member of ODCAV, (the Departmental Organization for the Coordination of Vacation Activities), for which he was responsible for planning sports and cultural activities during the summer season. In 2004, Sow immigrated to Canada. He is currently studying business administration at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he specializes in transport and logistics. This exhibition marks his first experience in the arts milieu.
