Jean-Sébastien Denis
Born in Sherbrooke in 1970, Jean-Sébastien Denis is painter, photographer and videomaker, lives and works in Monreal. While studying visual art at UQAM, he participated in Symposium 95 de la Jeune Peinture au Canada in Baie Saint-Paul. In the summer of 1999, he participated in Cymar@Weimar, an electronic arts event in Germany. His work has been presented in several group shows : De la monstruosité and L'État des choses in 1999 at l'Espace René D. Harrison, Artifice (1998), Ouverture officielle d'un espace à venir at l'Espace Vidéographe (1998), at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Sherbrooke as well as at the Première Biennale d'art contemporain des pays francophones in 1992 in France. He has had solo shows at Lieu Ouest (Montreal 1998 and 1996), Le lobe (Chicoutimi 1997), Horace (Sherbrooke 1996 and 1993).
