Robert Hamilton was born in 1962. Among other degrees, he received a MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been making videos since 1984 and has won several international awards. Although his video work is primarily for single channel presentation, he also makes installations, audio art and sculpture. He divides his time between Canada and Holland. Shoes (1986), Rumbleshinx (1987), The Correspondence (1988), Angels (1990), Box (1990) and Patient (1995) are some of his works.
