Born in Switzerland in 1965, Stéphane Goël has been working as an independent video editor and producer since 1985. He lived in New York City in 1987 and 1993. He produced several experimental and poetic videos before moving on to feature-length documentaries. He is a member of the Climage Association, Lausanne, and participates in the production and distribution of artists' videos and in the organization of numerous video-related events.
