Stéphane Grasso was born in Montreal, Canada. A graduate of Concordia University in film production, he was awarded the ARRI Canada scholarship in his first year. Since then, he has directed several shorts ranging from experimental (BEAT, 2005) to documentary (Nordik Express, 2007) to fiction (La Coupure, 2007).
