David Manseau
David Manseau is an artist and scholar who holds a master’s degree in visual and media arts from UQAM. He uses a variety of media, such as photography, performance, video and installation, in his multidisciplinary photographic practice. Over the past few years, architecture has become an important topic of his explorations; placing it in relation to photography, he creates connections between them as a way of thinking about our aesthetic and physical experience, i.e. the way in which the technical context (camera, building or urban environment) acts as a frame to shape the way we perceive the world. He lives and works in Montreal and his work has been shown in exhibitions, festivals and conferences in Quebec, Toronto and Italy.
