Monique Messier was born in 1946. She is one of the founders of production companies Les Productions Monique H. Messier Inc. and Cité Amérique (cinéma-télévision) Inc. She now works mainly as a scriptwriter and a producer (creation and development). As an executive-producer, she participated in the making of many television series such as Marguerite Volant, Blanche and Les Filles de Caleb. She was also involved in the film industry with such feature-length films as Eldorado, Dans le ventre du dragon, The Morning Man, Les Bons Débarras and Pour le meilleur et pour le pire.
