Christiane Le Guen was born in Moralix, France in 1955. She received a Master's degree in Law from the Université des Sciences Juridiques de Rennes, in 1977 and she completed a Bachelor in Communication at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1984. Director, editor, researcher and scriptwriter, she worked on different video productions such as La chaine aux pieds (1982), Montréal Blues (1983), La Sélection (1983), La caligraphie ou la danse de la plume (1984), Passage (1985) and Anamnèse (1987).
