This program explores the diverse range of practices that coexisted at Vidéographe during its first decade: social documentaries, technical experiments, arts documentaries, commentaries on international events, and more.

Sharing One’s Own Face, a project by French researcher and artist Lucie Szechter, considers the issues raised by the face in the practice of filming the self.

In 2017, Vidéographe published Istvan Kantor – Video Anthology a USB box set of 29 video works curated by Etienne Desrosiers. This project allowed us to add thirty four of the artist’s videos to our catalogue.

The program attempts to bring out certain angles peculiar to Vidéographe, from autobiographical confession to dream-like portrait and from collage to political and even militant documentary by way of performance conceived for video.
