Andrés Solis Barrios is a Mexican filmmaker based in Montreal. He started doing films on super 8 mm and has even hand-processed them since 2013. In 2015, he participated in the One Take Super 8 Event Montreal where he showed Andar, a film made entirely in-camera. He graduated in Film Production at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in 2019. Andrés is interested in experimental and playful approaches and other alternative forms of narrative that challenge our ways of experiencing moving images. La Aguja y el Tambor (The Needle and the Drum) is his most recent short documentary.
