Antoine Larocque
Born in 1995 in Arthabaska and based in Montréal, Antoine Larocque is a visual artist whose work is characterized by a raw, intuitive and experimental approach. He mainly uses photography, video, recycled images and different printing techniques to explore our relationship to the image and its narrative possibilities. His recent works explore the milieu in which he grew up and the cultural legacies associated with it. His film Off-line situation was shown at the Fracto Experimental Film Encounter in Berlin in 2018. In May 2019, the publication Ok Cool Editions featured his photographic series Mai banqueroute, made between 2016 and 2018 in his hometown. Larocque is currently undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in art at Concordia University.
