Giovanni Princigalli
Giovanni Princigalli holds a Master's degree in Political Science with a major in Social History from the University of Bari, and a Master's degree in Film Studies from the University of Montréal. He studied ethnographic film and documentary in Paris. In Italy, he was a pupil of Umberto Contarello (screenwriter of the Oscar-winning film “The Great Beauty”) and Carlo Alberto Pinelli (Federico Fellini's assistant). His documentary films have been presented at RIDM, Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois, Vues d'Afrique, Film Festival of Society of Visual Anthropoloy, Festival du Film Pan Africain de Cannes, Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, Cinema d'Ales, Écrans Noirs de Yaoundé, New York Gipsy Film Festival, The African Diaspora International Film Festival of New York, Festival de Cine Pobre de Cuba, FIC Buenos Aires, amongst others.
