Jean-François Caissy

Hailing from the village of St. Omer in Quebec, Jean-François Caissy studied photography at the Matane CEGEP. Since 1998, he has participated in several group shows and directed a short fiction film, Colocs à taire (Roommate Story), which was shown on Télé-Québec. Following a film workshop in Amsterdam, he created the visual and sound installation piece, Mon doux camping (Sweet Camping). His next shorts, De gauche à gauche (From Left to Left), Julien and La campagne (Billboard) were showcased in various Canadian and international film festivals, at the Museum of Fine Arts in Colima, Mexico and at Greenpoint Video/Arts Source in New York.
