Lamia Chraibi
Born in France and having grown up in Morocco, I have been submerged in multicultural environments with silent curiosity. I have always been intrigued in discovering different perspectives which give birth today to something new tomorrow. Critical in satisfying a deep need of a better understanding of International Relations, I studied in the Political Science department at Sorbonne in Paris
Passionate by Latin America, the perseverance of its people has awoken in me an undeniable sentiment of admiration. I have travelled the continent in search of a variety of stories which all have in common the same hidden and secretive struggle. My first documentary entitled Amazon Voices broke my silence and brought forward the idea of marginalized individuals fighting for human harmony.
Having then immigrated to Montreal, I studied documentary film at INIS (National Institute of Image and Sound). Since then, I have dedicated my body of work and life in hope of giving voice to the unknown social actors through the art of cinema.
