Marie Chouinard showed her first production, Cristallisation, in 1970. Almost overnight, it earned her recognition as a solo artist driven by a thirst for communicative authenticity. Twelve years into her solo career and having established herself as an international interpreter and choreographer, Chouinard founded her own company - La Compagnie Chouinard - in 1990.
