Marie-Frédérique Lemieux

Originally from Ste-Anne-des-Monts in Gaspésie, Marie-Frédérique Lemieux studied cinema at Cégep de Rimouski and UQAM. She completed several projects during her studies, exploring various artistic directions and asserting her visual signature. In 2023, her documentary "Nimager", shot in Cap-Chat, won the award for best documentary at the Quebec Student Film Festival. In 2024, she presented a second, more personal documentary, celebrating her family and her childhood in Gaspésie. Her works subtly explore the themes of feminism, nostalgia and identity, capturing the emotional essence of human life through a deeply introspective cinematic perspective.
