Michelle Deslauniers was born in Shawinigan in 1954. She studied drama at the Université du Québec à Montréal and did advanced training courses in this field of interest. Her professional and artistic activities gave her the opportunity to become film and stage director, researcher, host, actress, clown and teacher in the art of clowning.
