Norman Bethune Levine was born in Montreal in 1944 and is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst working in Ottawa. He has written and lectured on psychoanalysis and film. He has, however, maintained an interest in documentary film education, having recently led a fund-raising drive for the establishment in 2005 of the Susan Schouten Documentary Film Award at Concordia University. Susan Schouten was a documentary filmmaker who helped in the creation of this video.
