Olivier Tétreault was born in Montreal on 12 October 1975 and displayed a talent for drawing and music from an early age. He grew up in the out of doors and his mind and eye were honed by photography and travels. He saw in cinema the art form par excellence in which he could fulfil his various passions. He completed his studies at Concordia University, where he made his mark as a director of photography. Since then he has worked in the independent film community as a director, director of photography and editor. La Belle Paix is his first medium-length documentary.
