Gilles Fournier lived as a recluse in the "zone d’exploitation contrôlée" (ZEC) Onatchiway in Quebec. On a premature snowmobile trip the still-unreliable autumn ice gave way under the weight of his snowmobile. Five days later his frozen body was found on the lake.  "I was supposed to meet up with him that winter, but the get-together never took place." A post-mortem portrait of a role model of my youth. An intimate journey to the heart of memory. A look at a kind of solitude, at a generation that is disappearing, at values that will never change.
