Sylvie Joly is a journalist and documentarist who studied communications and journalism. She has freelanced for the printed press and for radio. In 1993, she produced a documentary on the role of women in the economy, and in 1995, in collaboration with Françoise Dugré, produced the documentary Une pointe d'histoire, a portrait of community activism in Pointe St. Charles in the 1970s.
