Françoise Dugré was born in La Pointe-du-Lac, Quebec and pursued university studies in film, art history and literature. She has been involved with media arts organisations in Quebec City, Montreal and now at home in Rimouski. She has worked as a producer, editor and curator for the last fifteen years and now teaches film at the Cégep de Rimouski. She is a founding member of Paraloeil, the new media arts centre in Rimouski.
