This is a portrait of a man who was a union activist for over 50 years in the Asbestos mines. He was vice president of the C.S.N. until 1963. With exceptional recall, Mr. Hamel and his wife talk about their memories of the history of the union movement in Québec. We come to understand the scope of the his struggle and that of many workers, and of the role played by women in the unions. A very interesting documentary on the historical plan, and a very touching portrait.
