The Reconstruction of the Paranoiac Bulb

The reconstruction of the paranoiac bulb is an experimental video created from the artist's last short film Le bulbe tragique (2016). By intermediatic reappropriation (VHS, analog video and DIY techniques) and the use of a visual performative apparatus that allows him to reuse his images in real time. The artist remixed the original film by reworking the source material in relation with the dominant thematics in the work: ephemeral, decay and nothingness. The video explores the impact of creative dialogue between the artist and his medium, when the material his modified by hand. Also, it questions the materiality of analog video, DIY processes and performative apparatus in film & video creation.
