Born in Cordoba (Argentina) and immigrated to Quebec, Fiorella Boucher is of Guaraní-Paraguayan and French descent. She currently lives in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, where she published her first book, L'abattoir c'est chez nous (Mémoire d'encrier, 2021). Her poetry addresses issues of identity linked to multiple belonging, intergenerational transmission, colonialism and exile. Fiorella Boucher has presented her work at Festival International de la Littérature, at the Centre de la francophonie des Amériques, at the First Nations Book Fair with Kwahiatonhk! and on Radio-Canada, among others. Her writings have been published in various arts and literature magazines (Estuaire, Zinc, Le Sabord and Moebius).
