Jocelyne "Jo" Laforce
Jocelyne Laforce has more than twenty years experience in international development. She has been an associate member of C.A.C. International in Montreal since 1982. As a sociologist specialising in the social aspects of development, Laforce has worked as a consultant on various projects to reinforce the capabilities of grassroots organisations and involving questions of women’s equality. She has also been involved in several institutional evaluations and program and project evaluations. These evaluations were carried out principally in conjunction with CIDA, but also with other Canadian, bilateral and multilateral (UNDP, BIT, UNFPA) development institutions. Since 1997, Laforce has been assisting CIDA and other international organisations implement Results-based management principles through the development of training programs for managers and partners and by training instructors in Canada and in developing countries.
