Armand Vaillancourt and Raymond Charland illustrate the major events in the creation of the «Etats généraux de la culture» and the «Front commun des travailleurs culturels». They explain that the «Etats généraux» held in Vaudreuil has seen the region's emergence as a unit to gather the cultural workers, while associations and cultural groups were just places considered for bringing together the artists. Vaillancourt is the focus of this documentary shot outside. He claims that The Front commun succeeded in shedding the "anthropological view of culture". An open discussion among Vaillancourt, an anonymous participant, and a member of the group Jazz Libre du Québec on the role of the artist, art and the emancipation of the worker, concludes the video.
