René Roberge was born in 1962 and studied sociology and ethnography at the Université de Montréal. An experienced editor, he has worked on a large number of films and videos, including Inlandsis (1990) and the more recent experimental video Ode 1:23:06, which he directed in collaboration with the performance artist Yvel Champagne. Vidéographe, Vu et Par was a finalist for the Best Video award at the 21st Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois in 1993.
