Paul Gauvin

Paul Gauvin was born in Quebec City in 1960. He studied cinema, journalism, drama and communication. As a director, producer and co-ordinator, he was in charge of audio-visual activities at the Groupe de Recherche en Art Audio Visuel de Montréal (G.R.A.A.V inc.), which he co-founded. He also worked for various production houses as a free-lance editor and camera operator. As director, scriptwriter and editor, he produced videos such as Punk Is the Best Fuck the Rest (1982), Infans: Qui ne parle pas (1984), Chacun pour elle: pas de douze pour onze hommes et une femme (1985), Aurora Boréalis (1985) and Puzzle (1986).
