This video takes its inspiration from the theatrical adaptation of the novel The Master and Margarita Mikhail Bulgakov. Ne parlez jamais avec l'inconnu takes a critical look at modern-day Russia. After the fall of communism, Satan arrives to haunt the former USSR. Among his messengers are Billy Graham, bungalow salesmen, bingo promoters and advertising directors. These strangers from the West use the places and icons of the Communist regime for their own profit, and sell their products while glorifying the image of America. In reaction to them, a certain resistance organises itself, led by Vladimir Jirinovski, representing those excluded from capitalism. This original documentary takes a penetrating and disturbing look at the new Russia.
