The Great Lakes Carbon Company of Canada produces graphite in Berthier. This documentary denounces the working conditions imposed on the workers by this affiliate of an American multinational corporation. Taped during a strike and lock-out, the video also exposes the effects of industrial waste on the population of Berthier and the environment. The video is composed of interviews, images of the city and the factory. It raises political reflection on the relationships between multinational corporations and governments.
