The Filmmaker’s Approach
Exode plunges us omnisciently into the troubled love life of Éliza, who uses dance to externalise the drama of her life. By incorporating the choreography into the narrative in such a way that it is not performed, I sought to interiorise the troubled character by selecting her hallucinated ideas in order to physically tie the story using subtleties and to bear us towards her fate, hearing her thoughts as her story progresses. The audience remains captive inside an Éliza who, consciously and impulsively, reveals her pain to us and dreams of flight.
