It is Pierre's 50th birthday, and his family has gathered together to show their love - and to rummage in his enormous piggy-bank. An American penny of great value is supposed to be hidden there. But Pierre, mentally challenged, has no ambition of becoming rich, unlike his brothers and sisters. Inspired by real events, this film tells the story of a mysterious penny that puts a spell on the entire family.
