The videomaker met families who decided to live another way, outside of social and economical norms. These people chose to live without common-law and to bring up their children alone or even to live as bachelors: to invert the roles usually attributed to the husband and the wife. They discuss their individual experience, notions of couple and dependence, and the problems they meet in daily life.
