In extremis

Video testimony of the performance of Miryam Moutillet, an independent choreographer from Montreal. In extremis is one of three solo works which were part of a Canadian tour. This one-woman show integrates elements borrowed from different modes and forms of expression. Theatre, video, voice and music are placed side by side with dance, the artist's preferred mode of expression. The actions and gestures of her performances evolved from research in drama and movement. In extremis was developed from a written script dividing the choreography between different scenes where voice, movement and text express the passions, desires and hopes of an urban woman.
