Yves Langlois filmed a group of Quebecers working for non-govenmental organisations in international co-operation in Burkina Faso, a country whose name can be translated as "proud man’s native land". He has captured images of smiling, optimistic and persevering Burkinabese working relentlessly against desertification. "Africa needs help, not pity, not miserabilism; but support and solidarity..." This documentary questions current forms of international aid.
